Breakdown
It arrived surprisingly quickly, and the packaging was nice. Got a free sample of their blue lotus as well, though I haven't had the heart to try it quite yet. The mugwort is absolutely divine; whether smoking it as a replacement for tobacco or drinking it as a tea, it's the best sleep I've had in years, without making me groggy in the morning. Quite the opposite, I dream a lot more now, and yet I actually feel fully rested after sleep. The flavor is also not all that bitter, I find it quite pleasant, without adding any honey or sugar.

50g of mugwort is a *lot* of mugwort! It goes really far. We smoke this mixed with the Herbal Mix for a great evening blend or make it into tea to soothe digestive complaints. Smokes smooth and tastes good.

We answer.
What is mugwort?
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is one of the oldest named plants of herbalism — the "mother of herbs" of the Anglo-Saxons, opening the Nine Herbs Charm of the 10th century. Plant of the moon and the sacred feminine, she is drunk as an evening infusion, slipped as a sachet under the pillow, hung above the door. INFUSE offers her as whole leaves, wild and organic harvest from France.
Does mugwort favour lucid dreams?
It is her most tenacious reputation, attested from one continent to another. People who work with mugwort for the dream report a constant — sharper dreams, livelier colours, better recall upon waking. This coherence between European, Chinese and Native American traditions intrigues. We promise nothing; mugwort holds the door of the night open, she does not push you through.
How do I prepare a mugwort infusion?
A teaspoon (≈ 2 g) of dried leaves in 250 ml of simmering water (~80°C, never boiling — the volatile oils evaporate), covered 5 to 10 minutes, then strain. The taste is frankly bitter, green, slightly camphor-like. To drink 30 minutes before bedtime, alone or with a little honey.
Dream pillow or infusion, where to start?
Start with the dream pillow — a sachet of dried leaves slipped under the pillowcase. It is the gentlest way, without ingestion, and often sufficient for someone who already dreams well. If the effect is too subtle, move to the evening infusion. INFUSE rule — always start with the least invasive way and observe it long enough.
How often should I use mugwort for dreams?
Three nights a week maximum. Beyond, the body habituates and the plant loses her depth. The quality of dreams depends on contrast — nights with, nights without. Keep a dream journal and observe over a lunar cycle (28 days). Mugwort teaches by duration, not by intensity.
Mugwort or cannabis for the evening?
Two opposite registers. Cannabis (THC) impoverishes the REM sleep phase and reduces dream recall; mugwort, on the other hand, seems to enrich this phase and reinforce recall. For an evening ritual — a soft smoke, a transition between day and night — mugwort is a finer companion, who prepares dream consciousness without dominating waking consciousness.
Can mugwort be smoked?
Yes — it is an Anglo-Saxon and Native American tradition. Sailors called her "Sailor's Tobacco", the plant of the nocturnal journey, smoked before going to sea. Finely crumble the dried leaves as base or complement in a smoking blend. Slightly toning (camphor), slightly oneiric.
Does mugwort have precautions?
Yes, to know. Strictly contraindicated during pregnancy (emmenagogue, uterus-active) and breastfeeding. Caution in case of Asteraceae allergy (ragweed, chamomile, yarrow) and under anticoagulants (coumarins). Mugwort essential oil, very concentrated in thujone, is never taken internally — she is quite different from the dried plant.
