DREAM ☾ · SUBCATEGORY

Masters of the Dream.

Seven African guardians of deep dreaming. Ubulawu (Zulu sacred herbal mixture for dream divination) — what the Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho have transmitted for centuries.

The word Ubulawu.

In Zulu, in Xhosa, in Sotho, ubulawu names those plants that open the dream — not the light dreams of ordinary sleep, but the dream where ancestors speak, the dream that guides, the dream that heals.

Seven main plants compose this family. Each has its character, its season, its icaro (inner song). Some are roots, others bark, some dried leaves. All are prepared as concentrated infusions, sometimes whisked to foam following Xhosa protocols.

INFUSE seeks to name the lineage of each plant with as much transparency as possible — and to say honestly what we do not yet document.

⊹ WHY THIS FAMILY ⊹

How to prepare to receive an Ubulawu.

Three counsels drawn from the preparation tradition:

First: begin with ONE Ubulawu alone, not a blend. Learn first to recognize the signature of each plant.

Second: use it over 3 to 7 consecutive nights, not once. The dream opens through repetition, not through intensity.

Third: keep a journal. The dream that speaks has a shape — it is in the repetition of motifs that the transmission becomes legible.
